Former Israeli PM Ariel Sharon dies
The 85-year-old politician has been in coma since 2006.
Sharon’s state dramatically aggravated and he was unlikely to survive the crisis, the ex-PM’s doctor, professor Zeev Rotstein, said last Sunday. Sharon was likely to die in a few days, BBC reported.
Sharon lapsed into a coma after a massive stroke in 2006. He spent all the time in coma connected to a volume ventilator.
The ex-PM took part in all Israel’s wars since 1948. Many people consider him a hero in Israel, and many Palestinians hate him.
He suggested building a safety barrier on the West Bank. He also supported active populating of the occupied Palestinian territories.
