Ukraine: Fortifications built in Kherson Oblast to stop Russian army
The fortification line will surround the regional centre, other cities, strategic objects and traffic centres of the region.
Solid fortification objects will be built there, leader of Kherson self-defence Denis Lashkaryov claimed referring to the decision made at the meeting of the Oblast Security Council, censor.net.ua reports.
Military men are doing it, Lashkaryov claimed. They will attract local inhabitants, enterprises and use the needed technical equipment and materials for it. The authorities will assist them. When the fortifications are ready, soldiers will be accommodated there.
The Ukrainian government launched the project Wall, PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk claimed earlier. It will be a real border between Ukraine and Russia, Yatsenyuk said.
