Freeloaders tax may be introduced in Belarus – Br3 million 600 thousand

A tax may be imposed on freeloaders in Belarus. The bill on employment stimulation mentioned the possibility. It was considered at a meeting with the President on January 13.

Able-bodied citizens who have not paid the taxes for over 6 month will have to pay an annual tax – 20 base amounts (Br3 million 600 thousand), BELTA reports. Tax evasion will result in administrative responsibility. Some categories of citizens (disabled and those bringing up children) will be exempt from this tax.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka has ordered to finish the bill within a month. The bill should correspond to the situation in the country, Alyaksandr Lukashenka stressed. Officials should fear nothing and solve the problems the state and the society are facing, he stressed. One of the biggest problems is making freeloaders work.
