Freestyle skier Hryshyn fails to pass qualification
Belarus was represented by four sportsmen – Alyaksei Hryshun (Vancouver Olympic champion), Anton Kushnir, Dzmitry Dashchynski and Dzyanis Vosipau.
Alyaksei Hrushyn failed to pass the qualification in Sochi. The Belarusian freestyle skier could not land properly twice. He was the last but one (20th) in the first qualification round and the 9th – in the second round. Only the best 6 freestyle skiers in every qualification can get to the final. Dzmitry Dahschynski was number one in the second qualification and Dzyanis Vosipau was the 5th. The first final will start at 8.30 FET.
Hryshyn carried the Belarusian flag at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. He criticized Darya Domracheva who refused to do it.
