Journalists murdered in USA: killer’s video
The murderer tried to commit suicide and was arrested.
The murderer of two WDBJ7 journalists filmed the whole process with his phone and uploaded the video to Facebook.
The police have detained the suspect. It is the journalists’ ex-colleague Vester Lee Flanagan. He changed two cars and wrote comments on Twitter during the pursuit that took several hours. Then he tried to commit suicide. Flanagan has been detained; he is in a serious condition now.
Reporter Alison Parker, 24, and 27-year-old cameraman Adam Ward were killed during a live broadcast. They were taking an interview in the streets of Moneta, BBC reports. Both journalists worked for the TV channel WDBJ7 in Virginia, USA. The official who was giving an interview to the reporters is in hospital.
The suspect is a former employee of the TV channel, Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe said.
