Information Ministry demanding information on owners of independent sites
Access to the sites may be restricted.
Several websites operating in the Belarusian information space but registered in a foreign domain zone have received similar warnings from the Belarusian Ministry of Information.
They were warned against "spreading false information that could harm the state or public interests", but the officials did not specify what information is "false."
Ministry of Information also reminded them of the possibility to restrict access to Internet sites that have two written warnings during the year.
The Ministry also proposes the sites to submit information about their owners, naviny.by reports.
The warnings, in particular, were received by the site Radio Racyja and the public association Svabodny Regiyon (Free Region).
