Interior troops seize barricades and detain protesters (online)

14:05. People are burning tyre casings to hinder the troops. There are a lot of people with head injuries.

14:02. Berkut and the internal troops are playing the master in Grushevski Street. They left their previous positions (near the burnt buses) far behind.

13:55. People from Maidan keep heading to Grushevski Street. There are a lot of them in European Square now. Many protesters are holding sticks.

13:51. The third stage of the clean-up operation has started. Protesters tried to take positions near buses but Berkut counterattacked. Policemen are capturing people, beating them and making them take off their footwear.

13:45. Berkut’s new tactics – going back and forth shooting at people with rubber bullets and throwing flash-bang grenades:

13:40. Having destroyed the barricades, Berkut started retreating to their previous positions shooting at protesters. People are gradually returning to Grushevski Street.

13:35. Ukrainian military men and special squad soldiers have destroyed barricades and moved towards European Square.

13:30. After the first attack (at 9 a.m.), the special police troops moved on at 1 p.m. They are going to destroy the barricades that people built in the last few hours.

The police are using tear gas grenades. People are throwing stones in response. However, the resistance is weak.
