Internal security troops buy bulletproof vests and helmets for Br 1 bln
Such information appeared on the state purchases website on June 27.
According to the published document, the Chief Administration of the Belarusian Interior Ministry's Internal Security Troops Commandor plans to purchase 185 "protective bulletproof helmets" for the total sum of Br 592 mln by July 20. They also plan to buy over 400 bulletproof vests (Br 509 mln), 403 pairs of handcuffs and 99 electric stunning devices (Br 70 mln).
The precise total number of the Belarusian internal security troops is unknown. It is considered to surpass 10 thousand people.
