On the main day of the presidential election, Internet disruption has been confirmed all over Belarus. Social media users have been informing about that since the morning hours of August 9, 2020.
For many users in Minsk, access to Internet has become extremely slow. People have troubles accessing YouTube or a popular chat platform and messenger Telegram. The website of independent observers Zubr.in is blocked.
Our website euroradio.fm is inaccessible to the most users inside Belarus.
Several media outlets turned to the Ministry of Communications and Informatization for the explanation. We hope to learn from the Ministry what has led to this disruption.
