Irish PM may step down over 'drunk' interview allegations

Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen may have to resign because of the information that he was drunk while giving an interview. Members of Cowen’s party and the former deputy Foreign Minister demand to organize a special session to discuss the situation. The Guardian informs that opposition representatives have accused Cowen of being drunk at an official reception of his party and not being able to explain the position of the government in some economic issues.

Cowen refutes the accusation.
