Kiev: Russian combat aviation may be debployed in Donets Basin
Military aircraft can be deployed after the seizure of the Donetsk airport currently controlled by Ukrainian troops.
They are repulsing attacks every day. Reports about the Russian GRU assaulting the airport appeared yesterday. Regular Russian troops are gathering near that area, Ukrainian military expert Dmitri Tymchuk has written on Facebook today. Russians are setting up an air defence system there.
Several combat aviation units without markings have already arrived at the nearest Russian airfields, Tymchuk said. They are being prepared for flying to Donetsk under the guise of ‘Novorossiya aviation’, he believes.
