Kiev: War may start on August 8
Russia may bring troops to Ukraine on August 8. It is expected to happen near Chernigov (not far from the Belarusian border).
Ukrainian mass media reported it referring to sources in the Ukrainian intelligence. The Russia-Georgia armed conflict started on August 8 six years ago.
According to the intelligence, Russian troops are planning to attacks at border check-points Semyonovka, Senkovka and Klyusy at about 12 p.m. on August 8. The information was received thanks to a radio intercept on the Russian territory.
Besides infantry, heavy military equipments and artillery will be brought there. The group will consist of 13-15 thousand people, 50-70 APCs, 100-200 beaverettes, 50 units of self-propelled artillery and Grad systems.
The information has not been officially confirmed yet. SBU mentioned another date earlier – August 15.
