Kosciuszko Foundation awards medal to Association of Belarusians in Switzerland

The Kosciuszko Foundation in Krakow awarded a medal to the Association of Belarusians in Switzerland on October 21.
Belarusians living in Switzerland have raised money to install a monument to Tadeusz Kościuszko in Solothurn this year.
However, the monument was opened with a scandal initiated by Polish Ambassador to Switzerland who had demanded to remove the words ‘son of Belarus’ from the sculpture. The monument was opened in Solothurn a few days ago.
The medal awarded to the Association of Belarusians in Switzerland is dated for the 221st anniversary of Tadeusz Kościuszko’s oath.
Alyaksandr Sapeha, chairperson of the the Association of Belarusians in Switzerland, has the right to wear this medal.
