Lavrov: Important decisions may be taken at Minsk summit on February 11
Kremlin experts have studied the suggestions made by Merkel and Hollande, the Russian diplomat said.
Moscow expects important decisions to be made at the summit that may be held on February 11, RIA Novosti refers to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Vladimir Putin made suggestions about settling the Ukrainian conflict, the Russian Foreign Minister said. The suggestions were discussed together with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President François Hollande in Moscow on Friday, he noted.
Kremlin experts studied the suggestions made by Putin, Merkel and Hollande on Saturday. They agreed to conduct ‘a Norman’ summit within the few following days. The summit is appointed for February 11 in Minsk. Important decisions may be made there, Lavrov said.
