Businessman Leanid Zaides has filed a lawsuit against Novy Chas newspaper the BAJ press service reports. Minsk's Saviecki District Court informed editor-in-chief Aksana Kolb about the lawsuit by sms on the morning of December 5.

Zaides is suing the newspaper ‘to defend honour, dignity and business reputation’ and ‘to get compensation for moral damages.’ Representatives of the editorial staff will be summoned to court on December 17.

The subpoena has been sent by post and will arrive within 5 days.

Earlier, Novy Chas won a court battle with businessman Arkadz Izrailevich. The case was connected with the restaurant “Poedem, Poedim” situated near Kurapaty. The newspaper described Izrailevich as the main beneficiary of the entertainment complex situated near the mass execution site.

Zaides is the actual owner of the restaurant.
