Living wage budget increased since August 1
The living wage in Belarus grows slightly by a little more than Br 50, effective from August 1.
The average living wage budget has been set by the resolution of the Council of Ministers dated July 26, BELTA reports. These norms will be effective between August 1 and October 31, 2013.
The average living wage budget amounts to Br 1 million 26 thousand 290 per person since August 1. It used to be Br 974 thousand 110 between May 1 and July 31.
Thus, the new living wage budget has increased by 5.4 per cent if compared to the previous norm. Correspondingly, minimum working and social pensions as well as the bonuses to the pensions of special categories of pensioners will also grow. Some kinds of social aid to families that raise children will also grow by the same amount.
The living wage budget has been set since August 1 for the following categories: working population - Br 1 million 132 thousand 380, pensioners - Br 849 thousand 900, children under 3 - Br 877 thousand 220, children aged 3-6 - Br 1 million 157 thousand 940, children aged 6-18 - Br 1 million 142 thousand 580, children-students - Br 1 million 24 thousand 990.
