Lukashenka appoints new state TV chief, key newspaper head

On 6 February, Aliaksandr Lukashenka replaced the heads of several key national state media, reports the state news agency BELTA.
Ivan Eismant has replaced Henadz Davydzka as the head of Belarus State TV and Radio Company. Davydzka has been recently elected the chairperson of the Belaya Rus public association. The new state TV chief is the husband of Natallia Eismant, the head of state's spokesperson.
Dzmitry Zhuk, the former head of BELTA state news agency, has replaced Pavel Yakubovich, the long-serving editor-in-chief of SB. Belarus Today newspaper .
The former deputy Information Minister Ihar Lutski has been approved as a new chief of STV channel to replace Yury Kaziyatka.
