Lukashenka: Belarusians should not even think about any other government
The state leader made a number of appointments and commented on the political and economic situation in Belarus on Thursday.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka hopes to overcome negative economic tendencies in our country in 2014. “We are going through a very serious period,” he admitted.
"Let us work so people would not even think about any other government,” BELTA quotes Lukashenka. “And you know very well what has to be done for it: in construction, housing and communal services, agriculture, people’s defense and their basic rights for work, good wages, life, security and other things. Let us do our best and people will support us. This political component will be very important in your work in the near future. However, everything will be in vain if the economy does not work. The economy is the base.”
If the economy functions well, “we will survive all election cycles”, Lukashenka said.
