Lukashenka to meet with Putin on February 25 in Minsk
Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin will meet in Minsk on 25 February. As it became known, on this day the Belarusian capital will host a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, BelaPAN reports.
According to Euroradio, the initiative to hold in Minsk an alliance summit in mid-January, came from Lukashenka. His proposal was supported by Moscow. It is assumed that they will manage to "revitalize the work of the Union State". At a meeting of the Supreme State Council, officials are to approve the Union budget for 2016, to discuss the results of trade and economic cooperation.
The last meeting of the State Council was held in Moscow on March 3 last year.
