Lukashenka unhappy about slow pace of development in Hrodna region
On Friday Head of State visited Hrodna hydroelectric power plant and held a meeting.
On Friday, Alyaksandr Lukashenka held a meeting with the regional officials. Chairman of the Executive Committee, Uladimir Krautsou, informed him of the status and prospects of socio-economic development of the region. Lukashenka, in turn, expressed his dissatisfaction with the slowdown in economic and social development of the Hrodna region.
"Hrodna region in our country is special, and I always put it as an example, BELTA quoted the head of state. Many industrial and agricultural enterprises are actively being upgraded. The area is one of the leaders in the production of milk, meat, grain crops. The share of the region in the country's gross domestic product is 8.5%, its agricultural production - more than 16%. However, recently there has been a worrisome slowdown in the socio-economic development of the region."
Before the meeting, the Heads of State visited the Hrodna HPP.
