Lukashenka’s assistant: Loss of Belarusian language is a major threat
Kiryl Rudy has announced the results of July survey conducted by the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences.
According to the President’s assistant for economic issues, people were asked about long-term threats in our country (up to 2030).
"The first threat is the population decrease due to low birthrate, 37% answered. The loss of the Belarusian language is in the second place, alcoholism is in the third position followed by an influx of immigrants from other states, ecological problems are in the fifth position and the decrease of the standard of life is in the sixth place,” BelaPAN quotes Kiryl Rudy.
Only 30% think that the economic situation in Belarus is positive. The same percent of people support the idea of our country’s membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, 20% support neutrality and 10% want Belarus to join the European Union.
