Makey: Belarus wants no confrontation with Eastern Partnership
Belarusian diplomat also said that the Minsk Agreement is "the only effective mechanism for the resolution of the situation" in eastern Ukraine.
On June 8, Moscow hosted a meeting of Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Russia. At a press conference following the meeting, Uladzimir Makey said that the Ministers have no closed topics, BelaPAN reports.
The Belarusian diplomat said they had a very interesting discussion with Sergey Lavrov about the development of the Eastern Partnership initiative. According to Makey, "Belarus has been, is and will be opposing attempts to give this initiative of our European partners the confrontational nature."
