Malady Front campaigning for election boycott
Belarus' opposition youth group Malady Front has launched a
campaign to persuade voters to boycott the forthcoming parliamentary election
scheduled for September 28.
"It will be a large-scale
awareness campaign to persuade people not to go to the polls because their vote
has already been stolen, but to come to Kastus Kalinouski [Kastrychnitskaya]
Square where we will defend together our right to decide own fate and the fate
of the Fatherland," Zmitser Dashkevich, leader of the group, told ERB.
Earlier, the opposition
Conservative Christian Party (CCP) also declared its plan to boycott the
election.
