Mass poisoning in Hrodna District school (photo)
35 people have been taken to hospital (4 of them are in the intensive care department). A group of Minsk specialists is helping local medics.
Children were poisoned at school in Ratsichy, Hrodna District. 35 people ‘with traces of some poisoning’) were taken to hospital, the press service of the Ministry for Emergency Situations reports. The children are safe now. Nevertheless, four of them are in the intensive care department, ONT reports.
Medics and rescuers arrived on the spot. Gas, hygiene, epidemiology and civil health specialists from Hrodna joined them.
Children who were studying on the second floor suddenly felt bad. They started feeling dizzy. They had fever and were vomiting. However there were no dangerous substances in the air, specialists found out. The radiation background was normal. Nevertheless, the school was closed.
A group of Minsk specialists from republican clinics was sent to help local medics, STV reports. Deputy Minister of Health also headed for Hrodna.
