Merkel and Obama agree on coordination in Crimean problem
The German Chancellor and the U.S. President had a phone conversation on Tuesday.
The unilateral declaration of Crimea’s ‘independence’ and its annexation by Russia are inadmissible hits on Ukraine’s territorial integrity, Angela Merkel and Barack Obama agreed. They consider the sanctions imposed by the European Union and USA on Russian and Crimean officials and members of the top brass logical in this situation.
At the same time, the German Chancellor and the U.S. President are still inclined to start a political dialogue. They are ready to coordinate approaches aimed at solving the Crimean problem, UNIAN reports.
