Milinkevich nominated as presidential candidate but ready to give way
It is yet to be decided who will head Alexander Milinkevich's presidential candidate headquarters, deputy chairman of Movement for Freedom Viktar Karnyaenka told Euroradio. Viktar Karnyaenka: “We will have to build the campaign headquarters. We will also shape a nomination group. We must finish this work by September.
The Movement for Freedom on April 30 agreed to nominate its leader Alexander Milinkevich as a presidential candidate. But Karnyaenka said that Milinkevich could withdraw from the presidential race for the sake of the single candidate from the pro-democracy forces.
As of today, the following politicians have declared their presidential ambitions: Vital Rymasheuski, Ales Mikhalevich, Andrei Sannikov, Mikalai Statkevich and Sergei Gaidukevich.
