Militants seize National Bank in Donetsk
Militants have seized Donetsk Oblast affiliate of the National Bank and Ukraine’s Ministry of Taxation this Monday.
Armed people with Vostok battalion identification marks seized the buildings, news.liga.net reports.
Then the militants took control over the building of the regional treasury.
It will result in detrimental consequences for Donetsk Oblast inhabitants, head of Donetsk Oblast Administration Serhiy Taruta claimed. “It will be impossible to pay wages to state employees, pensions and assistance to people. Hundreds of thousands will not be able to get their money although the state has all the resources needed to meet its engagements,” Taruta said.
