Minister of Economy: 700-dollar wages? No problem!
Mikalai Snapkou gets questions about growing prices, discounts and wages during a hot phone line conference in the editorial office of Resbublika newspaper.
"The wages exceeded the efficiency of work a lot in the last six months," Minister Snapkou noted. The state's economic policy will be focused on this situation in the next few months, he reckons.
"Mikalai Henadziyevich, will the wages reach 700 dollars (per month) next year?" people asked Snapkou. "I think it will happen without any problems," said the Minister of Economy. The enterprises will pay as much as they will be able to."
"The budget sphere will be catching up as usua,l" Snapkou stressed. If the wages in the real sector increase, state employees will also be paid more, he said.
