MoD: No increase in military activities in Belarus (video)
Press secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Defence Uladzimir Makarau told Belarusian Military newspaper about it.
It was his response to numerous videos and photos of military equipment relocation in Belarus distributed on the Internet. Such videos have been regularly appearing in connection with the military actions in Ukraine.
An operability test of the Belarusian Army was conducted in the first few months of the year, Makarau said. The intensity of relocation was much higher than now, he noted.
All the relocation of military equipment in Belarus is being done according to the Armed Forces Preparation Plan approved at the end of 2013, he said.
Moreover, the Belarusian Armed Forces have not taken part in military actions abroad and are not doing it now, Makarau claimed. The information about Russian armed groupings present in Belarus are just a rumour, BelaPAN quotes the colonel.
