Ministry of Information issues warnings to three regional newspapers
In every case, the issue was found with the output data.
Ministry of Information issued warnings to a number of independent regional newspapers. According to the press service of the BAJ, the warnings are based on small issues with the output data.
Warnings were issued to Gazeta Slonimskaya, Baranavichy based Intex-Press and Gantsavitski Chas. The newspapers' editors are going to challenge the warnings in court.
The Gazeta Slonimskaya is being accused of not specifying the paper's circulation in two of its February issues. In fact, the circulation figures were placed on the first page.
Intex-Press and Gantsavitski Chas received warnings for using 'RB' instead of 'Republic of Belarus' in the output data.
Incidentally, after receiving two warnings within one year, any registered media in Belarus can be closed through court action.
