Minsk giant defeats legendary boxer David Tua (VIDEO)
Boxer Alyaksandr Ustsinau promoted by brothers Klichko, is returning to the top of the world rankings.
Alyaksandr Ustsinau and David Tua fought in Hamilton, New Zealand. The Minsker defeated his rival with overwhelming dominance although tension was preserved until the very end of the fight.
David Tua is one of the most legendary boxers in history. He is compared to such famous boxers as Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis. Tua decided to quit boxing after the defeat.
The Minsk boxer is going to struggle for the world champion title.
Alyaksandr Ustsinau is 36 years old. His height is more than 2 metres and he weighs about 140 kilos. He is a Chechen war veteran who served in the very hell. Alyaksandr left Novosibirsk riot police at the age of 25 and moved to Minsk. He started studying Thai boxing from Belarusian coach Uladzimir Zadziran and got higher education in Belarus.
Despite criticism and scepticism, the duo of Uststinau and Zadziran became successful a year later – they celebrated a victory at the world Thai boxing championship. Then Uststinau decided to do professional boxing. Brothers Klichko became his promoters.
Alyaksandr celebrated 29 victories. His was only defeated by Bulgarian Kurbat Pulev last year. Russians started calling Ustsinau “Belarusian” instead of “Russian” on boxing forums after that.
Alyaksandr is waiting for the name of his next rival to be announced now. It will be an elite boxer.
“I want to become the world champion. I want my hard work to bring results,” Alyaksandr said after the victory in the fight with David Tua.
