Moscow alert: US sends ‘additional resources’ to Black Sea
Special Assistant to US President Josh Earnest mentions Washington’s measures in response to Russia’s actions in Crimea.
6 F-15s fighters were sent to the Baltic states for patrolling and 12 F-16 planes were sent to Poland ‘for assisting with defense’, he said. The destroyer Truxtun is still in the Black Sea.
The U.S. Navy is also sending ‘additional resources’ to the area, Josh Earnest added. He did not report any other details, RIA Novosti notes. One or a few more American ships may be heading to the Black Sea.
