Most influential Belarusian Internet resources may become mass media
Deputy Minister of Information Dzmitry Shadko has reported it.
A work group of representatives of “interested departments” has been created, he said.
"We suggest adding a number of changes to the Law on Mass Media to make the most popular resources mass media so that they can bear responsibility for distributing any kind of information and could be deprived of their registration if necessary,” BELTA quotes the deputy Minister.
Resources like tut.by and onliner.by exist in a legal gap now: formally, they are not mass media. However, their information pages have been one of the most influential media platforms for a long time, Nasha Niva notes.
