Movement For Freedom officially refuses to take part in election
The organization will not support any other candidates either.
The Movement For Freedom has officially announced that it will not take part in the presidential election in 2015. It will not support any other candidates either, the organization claimed on the morning of April 2.
The absence of ‘consolidation of the Belarusian democratic forces in the name of independence, democracy, market economy and European choice’ is the reason for it. Taking part in the election as separate columns will only disorient those who want changes and deepen the apathy in the society, the organization believes. The imitation of participation in an election with a predictable result will only alienate people from the democratic forces.
The organization is going to elaborate suggestions of economic reforms for the People’s Programme and the initiative for peaceful changes People’s Referendum, for election observation campaigns and release of political prisoners.
The civil campaign Our House announced that it would not take part in the presidential election yesterday.
