The Treaty on the Union between Belarus and Russia may be reconsidered, head of the Council of the Republic Mihail Myasnikovich told BELTA.
The issues of creating equal opportunities for economic entities and equal rights for all citizens should be reconsidered, the politician reckons. “We may hear interesting and unexpected suggestions that may become amendments to the Treaty on the Union between Belarus and Russia,” he noted.
The suggestions will have to be endorsed by Russian structures, Myasnikovich stressed. The Standing Committee of the Union State will participate in this process, MPs are hoping. The head of the Council of the Republic has also suggested inviting the Eurasian Economic Commission to join the discussion.
