National investment and privatization agency to be created in Belarus
The information has been announced by the deputy Minister of Economy of Belarus Andrei Tur today, on April 30. The agency will be created with the help of the World Bank.
Tur: "A project of the state leader’s order about the creation of a state institution “National Investment and Privatization Agency” has been prepared. The agency is supposed to become a state organization dependent on the government and controlled by a monitoring council. The monitoring council will be headed by the Prime Minister who will confirm the regulations and aims of the work of the council. One of the main tasks of the agency will be attracting investments including foreign ones. It should also happen during privatization of state-owned objects”.
By the way, Belarus expects more than 5.5 billion dollars to be invested in its economy this year.
