Orthodox Women's Union to be created in Belarus

A correspondent decision was taken on November 20  in Mazyr at the session of the Holy Synod of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, hosted by the Methropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk Filaret,  BELTA informs. The Orthodox Women's Union is expected to be a public association of a republican level. The Archbishop of Vitsebsk and Vorsha Dzimitry will be their spiritual guardian and help them to obtain state registration.

The Synod also blessed opening a new All-Merciful Saviour nunnery in Kobryn.
