Over 29 thousand people are prisoners in Belarus
Every fifth of them is in a detention centre.
As of October 1, 2014, 29058 people are in Belarusian prisons. It is 5% more than last year.
5476 persons were in detention centres at the beginning of October, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
