Participants of protest action against police violence get fined
Minsk Lenin District Court considered the cases of six participants of the protest action against police violence on February 11.
Entrepreneur Ales Makayeu was fined for 50 base amounts (Br10.5 million roubles), spring.org reports. European Belarus activist Maksim Vinyarski got the same fine. Dzyanis Krasachka will have to pay 20 base amounts (4.2 million roubles), pensioner Nina Bahinskaya who did not appear in court – 25 base amounts (Br5.25 million).
The reports drawn up against Natallya Harachka and Svyatlana Yakshyna will be reworked. The cases of United Civil Party leader Anatol Lyabedzka, activists Volha Mayorava and Mikalai Kazlou will be considered in court on February 16.
The action of solidarity with a TUT.BY journalist and activists beaten by policemen in Minsk Frunze District Court was held near the Supreme Court on January 30. 15 people protested against police violence.
