Pavel Sevyarynets released, Paznyak’s books confiscated
The BCD co-leader has spent the night at the border Belarus-Poland border post Bruzhi.
BCD co-leader Pavel Sevyarynets was detained at the border check-point Bruzhi at 10 p.m. yesterday. He was returning from Białystok. Sevyarynets showed his passport and was searched. Zyanon Paznyak’s books were confiscated from him, the BCD press service reports.
Hrodna customs officers prepared confiscation documents only at 3 a.m. The books Terra Dei, Reflections, Parsival and others will be sent to the commission on extremism of Hrodna City Executive Committee.
"Hrodna customs officers should install a monument to Zyanon Paznyak because is the founder of the Republic of Belarus and the state customs service. They should not be confiscating his books at the border. The good thing is that Hrodna Executive Committee officials will be able to read Zyanon’s works now,” Sevyarynets said. He is going to appeal the confiscation.
