Pavel Sheremet commemorated in Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kiev (photo)
An action in memory of journalist Pavel Sheremet was organized in Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kiev on the evening of July 20. The well-known journalist was killed in the centre of the Ukrainian capital on Wednesday morning. His car exploded.
About 100 people took part in the action, Radio Liberty reports. Ukrainian journalists, politicians and Belarusians living in Ukraine commemorated the journalist. Ukrainian yellow-blue and Belarusian red-white flags were hoisted there. Ukrainian MP Refat Chubarov presented condolences on behalf of the Majlis of Crimean Tatars.
