Pentagon chief: US will not wage war against Russia because of Ukraine
United States Secretary of Defence Chuck Hagel has accused Vladimir Putin of ‘feeding’ the conflict in Ukraine.
However, the United States will not wage war against Russia because of the Ukrainian crisis, RBK quotes him.
The Russian President ‘continues dangerous actions that lead to tension’, Hagel told CNN. Putin’s policy leads to ‘further consequences’, he noted.
Washington thinks that Putin’s plan of settling the conflict in Donets Basin is insufficient for peace in Ukraine, spokesperson for the United States Department of State Jen Psaki claimed. The plan does not answer the key question – ‘what should be done about Russia’s participation in the conflict in Ukraine?’, she stressed.
