Photo fact: First bridge partially burnt down in Kiev
The Lovers’ Bridge is situated over Petrovskaya Lane near the stadium Dinamo and joins two parts of Mariinski Park.
The entrance is blocked by a protesters’ barricade now. They are warming up near a fire. About three metres of the bridge surface has burnt down near Grushevski Street – tyre casings were brunt there, news.liga.net reports.
A police cordon is blocking the other part of the bridge. Several dozen riot policemen are hiding in the park.
