Polatsk expects 1mn tourists in 2008
The Belarusian city of Polatsk is preparing to welcome the 1,000,000th tourist. Local officials have calculated that this should happen this year. BELTA notes that over six months of 2008 alone, nearly 700,000 guests have visited this ancient Belarusian city. The list of the most popular tourism attractions includes Sophia Cathedral and the Belarusian Book Printing Museum.
