Policemen in plain clothes on the evening of April 19 attempted to enter the flat of European Belarus campaign's local coordinator Maksim Vinyarski in Minsk. The agents started knocking on the door and demanded to let them in but the activist’s mother did not talk to them and did not obey, the activist told charter97.org. According to Vinyarski, the policemen also knocked on their neighbours’ doors and wouldn’t leave.

The coordinator of European Belarus said he had been ill for several days and stayed at home. He does not understand want the police wanted.

In an earlier development on April 18, the police detained opposition activist and leader of the solidarity movement Razam Vyachaslau Siuchyk . He was walking back home when policemen dragged him out of the lobby and brought to Minsk's Central District Police Department. Siuchyk was charged with petty hooliganism and disobedience to the police. Siuchyk was taken to Minsk's Central District Court on April 19 to stand trial. The judge sent the administrative offence reports for revision as the place and time of the administrative violation were indicated without following the required pattern.
