Political prisoner Yauhen Vaskovich spent 250 days in punishment cell
The member of Belarusian Chrtistian Democracy party's steering committee is serving his sentence in Mahilyou prison #4.
Yauhen Vaskovich has spent 247 days in the punishment cell since October 2011, the BCD press service reports. The last 10-day punishment was received on December 27 and the prisoner stayed in the punishment cell even on New Year’s Day. Most of the cases are explained by his “refusal to fulfill the prison personnel demands.” On average, Vaskovich spends about 15 or 20 days a month in the punishment cell.
By the way, his height is 185 cm but he only weighs 65 kilos.
The Belarusian Christian Democracy is urging human rights defenders and international organizations to express a protest and demand that the prison administration to stop torturing Yauhen Vaskovich.
