Poroshenko to ask Putin ‘to take militants away from Ukraine’ in Minsk
The Ukrainian President’s website has reported it today.
"Ukraine wants peace,” Poroshenko said during his working visit to Nikolayev. He will go to Minsk together with three higher representatives of the European Union ‘to talk about peace’ on August 26, the Ukrainian President said. He will also urge to ‘take militants away from Ukraine’ at the meeting, Poroshenko stressed.
The Presidents of the Customs Union member states, the Ukrainian President, EU High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, European Commissioner for Energy Günther Oettinger and Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht will meet in Minsk on August 26.
