Poroshenko sees no grounds for sanctions against Belarus
Belarus and Kazakhstan act as stable and reliable partners, Ukraine's president told reporters during a big news conference in Kiev.
"I see no grounds for any kinds of sanctions against our stable and reliable partners such as Belarus and Kazakhstan," Ukraine's president Petro Poroshenko is quoted by AFN as saying.
According to Poroshenko, after Belarus and Kazakhstan entered the Customs Union, all decision-making is taken by Eurasian Economic Commission. Since the commission has all the powers, the sanctions get undermined. In his view, this prove the inefficiency of the Customs Union.
"I want to thank Belarus and Kazakhstan for consistently supporting Ukraine's course and respecting its territorial integrity and sovereignty," said the Ukrainian president.
