Poroshenko: Tripartite meeting to be held in Minsk on Sunday
Belarusian capital will once again become the place for discussions of Donbas events.
On Sunday, December 21, Minsk may host a trilateral meeting on the situation in Donbas. On Wednesday, president Petro Poroshenko spole about it during his official visit to Poland.
"On Thursday, Friday there will be a video conference of the tripartite contact group meeting, and it is hoped that on Sunday, there will be a meeting of the tripartite contact group in Minsk," UNIAN quoted Poroshenko.
In recent weeks, representatives of the official Kiev and the self-proclaimed republics could not agree on the meeting date in the Belarusian capital.
It is planned that the representatives of the official Minsk, Kiev and self-proclaimed republics, with the participation of the OSCE and Russia, will discuss the exchange of prisoners and "artillery silence routine" in eastern Ukraine. In addition, representatives of the DPR want Ukraine to lift the economic blockade of Donbas.
In September, Donbas ceasefire agreement was signed in Minsk. It has been regularly violated, but a full-scale military operations were discontinued.
