This is precribed by the regulations of the Ministry of Economy and the Council of Ministers.
Sand sugar gets Br 400 more expensive (it makes 5% in average). The price will be Br 8 400 per kilo. Now, white sand sugar in a sack of 25-50 kilos costs Br 7 900 per kilo in the retail trade. The price for the sugar packed in smaller packages is Br 8 400. The Ministry of Economy explains the price increase by the urgent need "to stabilize the financial condition of the sugar-processing establishments".
Since July 12, the selling prices for bread increase by 10%. Also, vodka will be more expensive in Belarus since Friday. The limited minimal selling price for the 40% alcohol stronger has grown by 25,6%, up to Br 27 000 per 0,5 l. The Ministry of Economy explained that this was connected with "increase of excise rates", BELTA informs.
